Over fifty residents turned out to a St Patrick’s celebrations at the Golden Harvest No.1 Retirement Village, on Friday evening. Before the celebrations, the residents participated in a twilight bowls tournament. Residents joined in the spirit of the celebration by wearing a wide assortment of green regalia. After an enjoyable sing-along of Irish ballads led by Hazel of the village care centre, residents enjoyed Boerie rolls, fun and comraderie. Expressions of appreciations were received attendees: “Thanks for another enjoyable get together appreciated by a large number of residents;” and “A big thank you to the organisers of the most enjoyable St Patrick’s day twilight bowls. The boerie rolls were delicious.”
